ABOUT THE CLEAN POWER COALITION
The Madison County Clean Power Coalition was formed in response to Madison GRP/Veolia's poorly managed construction of a biomass powerplant located in Colbert, Georgia. The company promised financial incentives to Madison County, and they also promised to be "good neighbors."
However, since construction began, the powerplant has been polluting the surface and groundwater, the surrounding pastures, and the air. The sound pollution has been unbearable, and the light pollution disrupts what was a peaceful landscape.
